Working Together to Save Lives

For a third consecutive year the Knights of Columbus is organizing a charity golf tournament that will benefit Angel Flight Mid-Atlantic. Angel Flight is a nonprofit 501 (C) (3) organization utilizing volunteer pilots to fly patients to specialized medical care.

Tournament History

The 2016 Tournament raised over $14,000.  The 2017 Tournament raised over $19,000.  That brings the total amount raised by the J.J. Quinn Memorial Tournaments to over $33,000!


This support has enabled a total of 465 volunteer pilots to fly a total of 667 missions, over a distance of 313,080 miles, for a public benefit of $2,040,991. These flights accommodated 138 children, and 529 adults, 286 of whom were wounded veterans. Sixty-six, or 10%, of all flights were directly underwritten by the monies provided by our annual tournaments.

John Joseph “J. J.” Quinn, Jr.

J. J. Quinn logged more than 400 hours each year with Angel Flight Mid-Atlantic, often traveling as far as Philadelphia, Boston, or New York City, and touched countless lives along the way.  In 2014 the National Aeronautic Association named J. J. Quinn as the Distinguished Volunteer Pilot of the Year for his work with Angel Flight Mid-Atlantic and other charitable organizations.

The 2nd Annual J.J. Quinn Memorial Golf Tournament benefitting Angel Flight-Mid Atlantic was a huge success.  

The Tournament raised over $19,000 for Angel Flight! 

That brings the total amount raised by the J.J. Quinn Memorial Tournaments to over $33,000!


It was a beautiful day, there was about 100 golfers and 120 people at the dinner.

Angel Flight members were in attendance and they were very grateful of the efforts of all involved in making the tournament happen.


The day started with a blessing from our Chaplain Fr. Mark Morretti followed by a few words from Kelly Murphy honoring her father and former KoC J.J. Quinn and then a thundering fly-over of two T-38 airplanes.  The day ended with a dinner, prizes, silent auction and a few words from Rob Alpaugh CEO of Angel Flight Mid-Atlantic.

This year the Tournament will be held at Fauquier Springs Country Club and will be a 4 person captain’s choice tournament which will include: Morning Coffee & Muffins / Lunch / Dinner / Multiple Flights / Raffles / Silent Auction / Prizes / Plane Ride Give Away / Mulligan’s / 50-50 Closest to Pin (subject to change) 100 golfer maximum

Not playing golf that's ok!  This year we are inviting anyone to join in on the fun.  Come to Fauquier Springs Country Club and join us for dinner!  Cost is $40 and includes raffle ticket and participation in silent auction.

Approximate time is 3:00PM - but come early and enjoy the festivities!
